Planetensystem TRAPPIST-1

One of the most discussed Exoplanet-Systems in the last years was Trappist-1. The Star ist 10 times smaler than the Sun and the biggest Exoplanets in the system are 10 times smaler than Jupiter - So it looks as a suitable relation.

The amplitude ot the planets is 0,004 to 0,01 mag.

But the star ist only 18mag
:-(

18 mag is weak - But there is a chance in the infrared. Its a red dwarf with the spectral class M8 - here the star has 15 mag!

Comparison at the POSS: visual an Infrared:

Test with the 80cm Telescope in Infrared

Die Messpunkte streuen um etwa +-0,05 mag.

Average of 10 pictures with 90 s (together 900 s)

The only chance is to use a moment with 2 or three planets which
at the same time in front of the star:

Maybe Trappist-1 is a reachable objekt - but I´m still searching the right moment.
